For 2024-2025 Season, only current members (curlers registered in a league currently) can spare in another league. There is no charge for a member to spare in another league.

Curling I/O has a great feature whereby you can add yourself to the spare list. When you log in to your Curling I/O profile, under the Account heading/menu, click the “Sparing” option. Indicate which league(s) you can spare in and your position preference(s).

If you only want to spare (i.e., not registered in a regular league), you can sign up in the “Spares League” in Curling I/O under Leagues.  The fee to be a spare is $40.00 + the mandatory Curl BC/Curling Canada fees of $22.00 = $64.00. (Does not include locker rental.)

A Sign-up sheet will also be available at the Club on the bulletin board, or send us an email with your name/contact information, your league availability, and your position preference, and we will add you to the Spare List!  Send your email to [email protected]. All names of curlers who are on the spares list will be provided to all league Skips.
