Registration Information – Creston Curling Club

Our Club uses the Curling Inside/Outside (Curling I/O) online system for League registrations. This central online registration system was developed by Curling Canada and designed to help Clubs manage their registration. Your data is centralized, secure and safe, compliant with privacy laws and using industry standard encryption, firewalls and other security measures to protect your personal data.

Tips for Registration

Please communicate with your friends and teammates about your team lineups! Confirm who’s curling on your team and whose name will be listed as the Skip.
Include your Skip’s first AND last name, please.
No team? No problem! Anyone signing up as an individual (“No Team”) should still register on Curling I/O and is encouraged to either contact Diane Thiesen at crestoncurling@gmail.com. We will do our best to get you on a team.
Those who want to register as a Spare or an Additional Player, can do so under the Leagues section in Curling I/O at https://creston.curling.io.

The registration period for the Fall session will start September 8st and run for 4 weeks. Please register on time to give league organizers plenty of time to set up the leagues, teams, and schedules. Registration for curling in the 2027 Winter session will start in late December. The Winter season itself will start the first week of January.

In-Person Registration: We encourage all curlers to register and pay online through Curling I/O. However, if you wish to register and pay in person, we will offer in-person registration sessions as follows; Thursday Sept 10 at 9:00-11:00 am, Thursday Sept 17 at 5:00-7:00 pm and Monday Sept 28 at 12:30-2:30 pm

Payment Options:

1) Log in to your Curling I/O account at https://creston.curling.io and pay online with a credit card. Instructions: After logging in, go to the Account tab and click Orders. Select the correct Order (it will be the first one), and then follow the payment instructions.

2) Call the League Director and provide credit card information over the phone.

3) Write a personal cheque addressed to Creston Curling Club. You may drop it into the slot of the mailbox beside the equipment room at the curling club.

4) Pay with cash at the club by placing your cash into an envelope with your name on it and dropping it into the slot of the mailbox beside the equipment room at the curling club.

5) Send an e-transfer to crestoncurling@gmail.com. If a security question and answer are required, use: What’s my sport? Curling

Late payments: We have a payment policy in effect. All curlers are expected to have made all payments they owe before the curling session begins. Payments received after the curling session begins will be subject to a late penalty of $50. *Note for the Winter season: The curling club is closed during the holiday season. If you would like to drop off a cheque or cash for the Winter season, please notify the League Director or the Treasurer to avoid a late payment penalty.*

Lockers: You can add a Locker to your cart when signing up for your first league. The rental fee is $31.50, including taxes. You only have to pay once for the full season (Oct-Mar). If you are not curling/registering in the fall session but you occupy a Locker and you wish to retain that locker, you will need to submit your annual Locker rental fees. You can easily do so through Curling I/O. Instructions: Log in at https://creston.curling.io/leagues , click on Products from the top menu, see the Locker option, click on ‘Add to Cart’, include a locker #, and then follow the payment instructions.

Weekly 50/50 Raffle Tickets are available to purchase upstairs in the 9th End Lounge until the first draw or on Curling I/O. $20 for each full season (10 draws). When registering for a league, you can also add the 50/50 draw to your Order with a tick box (like a locker), or add it separately using the Products tab at the top right of the screen. You may also pay by cash or debit card at the bar.

Curlers who register as Spares are required to pay only the mandatory Curl BC/Curling Canada fees upfront ($29 once per year) and then $10 per game at the door. If you paid the Curl BC/Curling Canada fees in the fall you do not need to pay them again. Spare fees will be charged to a maximum of $120 per term (i.e. the equivalent of a “regular” four person-team league. Payments are to be made on the honour system. Please drop your payment in the mail slot beside the equipment room/office. Payment envelopes will be available in the main lobby. Register in Curling I/O under Spares in the Leagues section. If you are sparing and have paid for another regular league, the $10 Spares fee is waived.

5-person teams are responsible for paying an amount equivalent to 4 players, and 3-person Doubles/Sturling teams are responsible for paying the amount equivalent to 2 players. If your additional player is registered in another regular league, he/she does not need to pay any additional fees when playing on your 5 person/3 person Doubles team. If your additional player is not registered in any other regular leagues, he/she is required to pay only the mandatory Curl BC/Curling Canada fees for insurance purposes. He/she can pay their fee in Curling I/O under Additional Player in the Leagues section. The additional player and the team can decide how to split the cost of the team’s league fees.
