JUNIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR:      TBA

The Creston Curling Club runs a free Tuesday Night Junior Curling  Program each season from mid-November to mid-February (12 weeks total)  6:30 – 7:30 p.m.  The Club provides all the equipment (brooms, grippers, sliders).  Participants are asked to wear clean, shoes and to dress in warm, flexible clothing.

Our program is designed to introduce the game to Elementary School youth aged 9 and up.  Our certified Club Coaches teach fundamental skills, basic game play and sportsmanship in a fun, non-competitive setting.   Juniors that wish to continue curling after Grade 7, are encouraged to join the High School Program.

The Creston Curling Club is involved with the Prince Charles Secondary School and provides coaching to both High School Boys and Girls who wish to continue in the sport of Competitive Curling.

The program runs from early November to end of February on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:00 PM for students who are in Grade 8 to grade 12.   The Club provides all the equipment as mentioned above.

The program is free, but those students who compete in Provincial Zone Playdowns and Provincial Finals are required to pay school sport fees ( approx $100 in total).   This program is designed to allow young curlers to advance from the basic introductory skills into a program that will allow for more game strategy and  team competitive Curling.  Those who have advanced skill levels are encouraged to build teams and will have the opportunity to represent their High School in Provincial Playdowns.

Teams with exceptional skills would be encouraged to get involved in night league play at the Creston Curling Club where additional game experience and on ice mentoring /coaching could be obtained.
